AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH ROY TEI1PLE
FOR APPRAISALS IN CONNECTION WITH THE ACQUISITION
OF TWO PARCELS ON CORPUS CHRISTI BEACH, BEING PARCELS
1 AND 2, CORPUS CHRISTI BEACH RESTORATION PROJECT;
APPROPRIATING AND REAPPROPRIATING OUT OF THE REVENUE
SHARING SECOND ENTITLEMENT PERIOD $1150 FOR PAYMENT
OF SAID APPRAISAL SERVICES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION I That authorization is hereby given for execution
of a contract with Roy Temple for appraisals in connection with the
acquisition of Parcels 1 and 2, Corpus Christi Beach Restoration.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated and reappropriated
out of the Revenue Sharing Second Entitlement Period $1,150 for payment
of the aforesaid appraisal services.
SECTION 3. The necessity to immediately authorize execution
of the aforesaid contract and to appropriate the necessary sums in order
that the appraisal services may be commenced at the earliest practicable
date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity re-
quiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution
shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such
ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City
Council, and the Mayor, having declared such emergency and necessity to
exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this
ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and fter its
passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the��ay of
