AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN
EXTENSION AGREEMENT WITH M. AND MRS. NORMAN
PINSON FOR THE RENTAL OF THE SECOND AND THIRD
FLOORS OF THE WEBER BUILDING LOCATED AT 321
N. MESQUITE STREET, AND THE 50 -SPACE PARKING
AREA ADJACENT TO THE WEBER BUILDING, FOR A
ONE -YEAR PERIOD, FROM NOVEMBER 1, 1975 THROUGH
OCTOBER 31, 1976, AS PROVIDED IN THE ORIGINAL
LEASE CONTRACT WHICH WAS AUTHORIZED BY ORDINANCE
NO. 11721, AND UNDER THE SAME TERMS AND CON-
DITIONS AS THE ORIGINAL LEASE CONTRACT; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he hereby is authorized
to enter into an extension agreement with Mr. and Mrs. Norman Pinson for
the rental of the second and third floors of the Weber Building, located
at 321 N. Mesquite Street, and the 50 -space parking area adjacent to the
Weber Building, for a one -year period from November 1, 1975 through
October 31, 1976, as provided in the original lease contract which was
authorized by Ordinance No. 11721, and under the same terms and conditions
as the original lease contract, a copy of which extension agreement is
attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A ", and made a part hereof for all pertinent
purposes.
SECTION 2. That the necessity to authorize the execution of
the aforementioned extension agreement so that the City may continue the
uninterrupted use of the Weber Building creates a public emergency and an
imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule
that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its
introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three
several meetings of the City Council and the Mayor having declared that such
emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the
Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its
introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the ay of

EXTENSION OF INDENTURE OF LEASE
THE STATE OF TEXAS X

This EXTENSION OF INDENTURE OF LEASE made and entered into by
and between NORMAN M. PINSON and M. CATHERINE PINSON, hereinafter called
Landlord, and the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, hereinafter called Tenant,
Witnesseth:

Pursuant to Section 1.2 of Indenture of Lease entered into by
and between Landlord and Tenant, as authorized by Ordinance No. 11721
passed and approved by the City Council on October 3, 1973, Tenant hereby
gives notice to Landlord of its intention to exercise its option to renew
said lease for a one -year period commencing November 1, 1975 through
October 31, 1976, and Landlord hereby to said Extension of Indenture of
Lease, on the same terms and conditions as the original lease.
