AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS
NECESSARY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCELS 20 THROUGH
23, IN BLOCK 2, AND PARCELS 24 THROUGH 37, IN BLOCK
3, ALL IN EDGEWATER TERRACE SUBDIVISION, IN CONNEC-
TION WITH THE OSO SEWER PLANT LAND ACQUISITION,
PROJECT NUMBER 250 -61 -25.5; APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE
250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND $40,000, OF WHICH
$35,600 IS FOR LAND ACQUISITION AT APPROVED VALUE
AND $4,400 IS FOR INCIDENTAL EXPENSES RELATED TO
CLOSING AND OTHER CONTINGENCIES; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
to execute documents necessary for the acquisition of Parcels 20 through
23, in Block 2, and Parcels 24 through 37, in Block 3, all in Edgewater
Terrace Subdivision, in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas,
in connection with the Oso Sewer Plant Land Acquisition, Project No.250-
61 -25.5, said parcels or tract being more particularly described as
follows:
Being an irregularly shaped tract of land out of a portion of
Lots 25 and 24, Block 2, Edgewater Terrace as shown by map of
record in Volume 7, Pages 38 and 39, Map Records of Nueces
County, Texas, and more particularly described by metes and
bounds as follows;
Beginning at a point on the South Right-of-Way line of
Del Oso Road which bears N. 850 07' 50" E., a distance of
50.0 feet from the Northwest corner of Lot 25, Block 2,_
Edgewater Terrace, for the Northwest and beginning corner of
the tract of land herein described;
Thence,continue N. 850 07' 50" E., along the South Right -of-
Way line of Del Oso Road, passing the Northeast corner of said
Lot 25 and the Northwest corner of lot 24 at 50 feet, a
distance of 96.98 feet to a point for the intersection of the
South Right -of -Way line of Del Oso Road and the West Right -of-
Way line of Ennis Joslin Road, said point being the P.C. of a
circular curve to the left;
Thence along the West Right -of -Way line of Ennis Joslin Road
and said circular curve to the left whose central angle is
12° ' with a tangent bearing of 5.320 13' 50" W. radius '
of 741.0 feet, tangent 78.68 feet and length of 156 77
feet to a point for the Southeast corner of said Lot 25;
Thence S. 840 48' 00" W. a distance of 16.22 feet along the
South boundary line of said Lot 25 to a point;
Thence N. 40 541 16" W., a distance of 134.16 feet to the
place of beginning and containing 7,075.37 square feet, more
or less.

ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE SUSPEN-
SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL

BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH OR OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL] D THEREFORE,
REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDI-
NANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL.

SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. 250
Sanitary Sewer „Bond Fund $40,000, of which $35,600 is for land acquisition
at approved value and $4,400 is for incidental expenses related to closing
and other contingencies.
SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize acquisition of the
aforesaid tract of land and to appropriate the sums necessary in order
that the Oso Sewer Plant Land Acquisition project may be commenced at the
earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative
public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no
ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro-
duction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three
several meetings of the City Council and the Mayor having declared that
such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension
of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date
of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from
and after its ZZ
passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the % day of
