HomeMy WebLinkAbout12801 ORD - 09/17/1975MLM :vp :9/16/75:1st AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO THE CONTRACT WITH SECHRIST -HALL COMPANY FOR THE MUSEUM BUILDING "A" ROOF REPAIR, SAID CHANGE ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR ROOF REPAIRS TO THE WASHINGTON SCHOOL (HIALCO MULTIPURPOSE CENTER); APPROPRIATING $1,262 OUT OF THE NO. 162 FEDERAL GRANTS FUND, ACTIVITY 4732, CODE 502, FOR THE COST OF SAID CHANGE ORDER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That authorization is hereby given for execution of Change Order No. 1 to the contract with Sechrist -Hall Company for the Museum Building "A" Roof Repair, said change order to provide for roof repairs to the Washington School (HIALCO Multipurpose Center). SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated $1,262 out of the No. 162 Federal Grants Fund, Activity 4732, Code 502, for the cost of the afore- said change order. SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize execution of the said change order and to appropriate the necessary funds in order that the construction outlined may be commenced at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect fr.,�yo�mm and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the _L day of; September, 1975.
