TEXAS:
AN ORDINANCE
APPOINTING JOSE GONZALEZ JUDGE OF
MUNICIPAL COURT "C" IN CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, BY NOMI-
NATION OF THE MAYOR AND CONFIRMATION OF THE CITY COUNCIL;
FIXING THE SALARY FOR SAID OFFICE; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. The appointment of JosE GONZALEZ
Judge of the Municipal Court in Corpus Christi, Texas, C, by nomination of
the Mayor and confirmation of the City Council is hereby declared and
affirmed. Said appointment shall be subject to the provisions of City
ordinances, the City Charter and the State law concerning Municipal Courts.
Said appointee shall be limited to a civil practice on outside employment
and shall be required to devote three - fourths of his time, or 30 hours
per week, to the duties as Judge of said Municipal Court - C.
SECTION 2. The annual gross salary of the said Judge of Municipal
Court "C" is hereby fixed at Pay Grade 32 D , now $1391 per
month, payable out of the General Funds of the City.
SECTION 3. The necessity for immediate provision for the appoint-
ment of the Judge of the Municipal Court in Corpus Christi, Texas, C, and
the fixing of salary creates a public emergency and an imperative public
necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance
or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but
that such ordinance or resolution shall be be read at three several meetings
of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and
necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule
and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction
and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this theday of OCTOBER 1975.

SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE,
REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDI-
NANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL.
