AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NUMBER 1 FOR THE WALDRON ROAD GAS REGULATOR SITE FROM THE OWNERS, .TACK P. KELSO AND OSCAR SOLIZ; APPROPRIATING AND REAPPROPRIATING OUT OF THE 106 GAS FUND, ACTIVITY 5273, CODE 501, $1,474.50, OF WHICH AMOUNT $1,300 IS FOR ACQUISITION AND $174.50 IS FOR COSTS RELATED TO CLOSING; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute the necessary documents for the acquisition of Parcel No. 1 for • the Waldron Road Gas Regulator Site from the owners, Jack P. Kelso and Oscar Soliz, said parcel being more fully described as follows: Being all of Lot 13, Block A. Don Patricio Subdivision, as shown by map of record in Volume 8, Page 30, Map Records, Naeces County, Texas, and more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point on the Westerly right -of -way line of Waldron Road, said point being the Northeast corner of said Lot 33 £or the beginning corner of the tract of land herein described; Thence S. 300 00' W., along the Westerly right -of -way line of said Waldron Road and the Easterly boundary line of said Lot 13, a distance of 49.2 feet to a point which is the Southeast corner of said Lot 13; Thence N. 590 54' 40" W., along the Southerly boundary line of said Lot 13, a distance of 80.0 feet to a point which is the Southwest corner of said Lot 13; Thence N. 300 00' E., along the Westerly boundary line of said Lot 13, a distance of 49.7 feet to a yoint which is the North- west corner of said Lot 13; Thence S. 590 54' 40" E., along the Northerly boundary line of said Lot 13 to the place of beginning and containing 3,936.0 square feet of land, more or less. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated and reappropriated out of the No. 106 Gas Fund, Activity 5273, Code 501, the sum of $1,474.50, of which amount $1,300 is for acquisition and $174.50 is for costs related to closing. SECTION 3. The necessity to acquire the aforesaid parcel and to appropriate the funds therefor in order that the project may be completed at 12912 • • the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro- ductioa but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the __L,q_day of November, 1975.
