HomeMy WebLinkAbout12917 ORD - 11/26/1975• JKH:hb:11/24/75:lst AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $655.47 OUT OF THE NO. 291 PARR BOND FUND TO SUPPLEMENT PREVIOUS APPROPRIATIONS IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE POENISCH PARK PARKING LOT, OF WHICH $404.47 IS FOR ADDITIONAL COST OF CONSTRUCTION BY RING CONSTRUCTION COMPANY AND $251 IS FOR RELATED LABORATORY COST, ALL APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 291- 64 -5.7; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. • 291 Park Bond Fund the sum of $655.47 to supplement previous appropriations in connection with the construction of the Poenisch Park parking lot, of which $404.47 is for additional cost of construction by King Construction Company and $251 is for related laboratory cost, all applicable to Project No. 291- 64 -5.7. SECTION 2. The necessity to provide sufficient funds in order that the construction aforesaid may be continued without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of t"� . , 1975.
