AMENDING THE CONTRACT WITH THE NU�CES COUNTY MENTAL
HEALTH AND MENTAL RETARDATION COMMUNITY CENTER,
AUTHORIZED BY ORDINANCE NO. 128111, PASSED AND APPROVED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON SEPTEMBER 24, 1975, BY AMENDING
PARAGRAPH III OF SAID CONTRACT SO'AS TO PROVIDE FOR
PAYMENT OF $5000 PER MONTH ACCORDING TO MONTHLY BILLINGS
FROM THE CENTER FOR THE PERIOD OF'IAUGUST 1, 1975,
THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 1975, AND $1,000 PER MONTH FOR THE
PERIOD OF JANUARY 1, 1976,THROUGH JULY 31, 1976, ALL
AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH IN THE AM NDMENT TO THE CONTRACT,
IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE FORM ATTACHE HERETO AND MADE A PART
HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBIT "A ".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the contract between the City of Corpus Christi
and the Nueces County Mental Health and Mental Retardation Community Center,
authorized by Ordinance No. 12811, passed and approved by the City Council
on September 24, 1975, be and the same is hereby amended by amending
paragraph III of said contract so as to hereafter provide for payment
of $5,000 per month according to monthly billings from the Center for the
period of August 1, 1975 through December 31, 1975, and $3,000 per month
for the period of January 1, 1976, through'July 31, 1976, all as more
fully set forth in the amendment to contract, a substantial copy of which
is attached hereto and made a part hereof, Yparked Exhibit "A ".

WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi and the Nueces County Mental
Health and Mental Retardation Community Center by authority of Ordinance
No. 12811, passed and approved by the City Council on September 24, 1975,
entered into a contract for the purpose of establishing and administering
mental health, mental retardation, alcoholism and drug abuse services in
Nueces County for the benefit of.the citizens of the City of Corpus Christi
as well as Nueces County, and providing for financial support from the City
of Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be advantageous
to amend the aforesaid contract:
NOW, THEREFORE, KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That the City of Corpus Christi, a municipal corporation and
body politic, operating under the home rule statutes of the State of
Texas, hereinafter called "City ", and Nueces County Mental Health and Mental
Retardation Community Center, hereinafter called "The Center ", agree as
follows:
That Section III be amended to hereafter read as follows:
III
The City agrees to pay from its budgeted resources, the amount of
$5,000 per month according to monthly billings from the Center for the
period of August 1, 1975, through December 31, 1975, and $3,000 per month
according to monthly billings from the Center for the period of January 1,
1976, through July 31, 1976.
Except as herein and hereby amended, the terms and conditions
of the agreement heretofore entered into by the parties hereto shall be
and remain in full force and effect.
Executed in duplicate originals this the day of November,
1975.
