AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $3,173,321.87 OUT OF THE WATER SYSTEM
UNAPPROPRIATED FOND BALANCE FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES:
$36,760.43 FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING COSTS OF SELLING
JR. LIEN WATER REVENUE BONDS; $139,206.72 TO BE DEPOSITED
IN THE JR. LIEN WATER REVSNOE BOND INTEREST AND REDEMPTION
FOND FOR 1975 -76 DEBT SERVICE REQDIRIINEr1TS; $2,997,354.72
IS TO BE DEPOSITED IN THE CHOKE CANYON RESERVOIR FOND TO
BE USED FOR DEVEIAPMENT OF WATER SUPPLY; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of
$3,173,321.87 out of the Water System Unappropriated Fund Balance for the
following purposes:
$ 36,760.43 for the purpose of paying costs of selling
Jr. Lien Water Revenue Bonds;
$ 139,206.72 to be deposited in the Jr. Lien Water Revenue
Bond Interest and Redemption Fund and for 1975 -76
Debt Service requirements; and
$ 2,997,354.72 to be deposited in the Choke Canyon Reservoir Fund
to be used for development 6f water supply.
SECTION 2. The necessity to appropriate at the earliest practi-
cable date the sums herelmabove set forth for the purposes outlined creates a
public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of
the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the
date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at
three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such
emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the
Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force sa--dd affect
from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY So ORDAINED, this the 9 day
of December, 1975.

REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPENO SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDI-
NANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL.
