HomeMy WebLinkAbout12999 ORD - 01/28/19760 JKEI:hb:1/28/76:lst AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE IBM CORPORATION FOR PURCHASE AT A COST OF $2406.80, OF AN ADDITIONAL LINE ADAPTER TO SEPARATE MUNICIPAL COURT COMPUTER OPERATIONS FROM THE POLICE INFORMATION SYSTEM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: 0 SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a contract with the IBM Corporation for purchase at a cost of $2406.80, of an additional line adapter to separate Municipal Court Computer operations from the Police Information System. SECTION 2. That the necessity to authorize the City Manager to execute the aforesaid contract for the purposes set forth in order that the Municipal Court Computer operations may be separated from the Police Information System at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and 4fter its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the day of �� , 1976.
