AN ORDINANCE
EXTENDING TO LITTER -LES, INC., THE FRANCHISE ORIGINALLY
GRANTED TO IMPACT ADVERTISING COMPANY BY ORDINANCE
NO. 11838, AND TRANSFERRED TO LITTER -LES, INC., BY
AUTHORITY OF ORDINANCE NO. 12875, PASSED AND APPROVED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON OCTOBER 29, 1975, SAID EXTENSION
TO CONTINUE UNTIL NOVEMBER 30, 1976.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 11838, passed and approved by the City
Council, on December 19, 1973, a franchise was granted to Impact Advertising
Company of Shreveport, Louisiana, for a.period of two years, for the purpose
of constructing, erecting and maintaining 100 trash cans at various locations
within the public right of way of the City of Corpus Christi, for the purpose
of aiding and promoting sanitary conditions and for the use of and accommoda-
tions to the public for the disposal of waste paper and trash, and to use
and employ the sides of said cans for advertising to be sold by the grantee
to persons, firms, corporations, and to the public generally; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 12875, passed and approved by the City
Council on October 29, 1975, authorization was given for transfer of the
aforesaid franchise to Litter -Les, Inc., for the remainder of the franchise
term; and
WHEREAS, the said Litter -Les, Inc., has requested an extension of
the term of the franchise aforesaid until November 30, 1976:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That authorization is hereby granted for extension of
the aforesaid franchise to Litter -Les, Inc., for the purpose of constructing,
erecting and maintaining 100 trash cans at various locations within the public
right of way of the City of Corpus Christi, under the same terms and conditions
as originally granted to Impact Advertising Company, and transferred to
Litter -Les, Inc. said extension to terminate on November 30, 1976.
