HomeMy WebLinkAbout13102 ORD - 03/24/1976• ' JRHchb:3 /23/76:1st • AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1,277.68 OUT OF THE NO. 220 STREET BOND FOND TO REIMBURSE THE NO. 162 FEDERAL -STATE GRANTS FOND, ACTIVITY 4732, FOR ADDITIONAL COST INCURRED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CABRA STREET RIGHT OF WAY IMPROVEMENTS; OF SAID TOTAL APPROPRI- ATION $1,213.50 IS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT OF E. J. NETER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY AND $64.18 IS FOR ADDITIONAL LABORATORY EXPENSES, ALL APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 220- 72 -27; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $1,277.68 out of the No. 220 Street Bond Fund to reimburse the No. 162 Federal -State Grants Fund, Activity 4732, for additional cost incurred for the construction of Cabra Street Right of Way Improvements; of the said total appropriation $1,213.50 is for the construction contract of E. J. Netek Construction Company and $64.18 is for additional laboratory expenses, all applicable to Project No. 220- 72 -27. SECTION 2. The necessity to provide necessary funds for the aforesaid street right of way improvements in order that the said project may continue without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its Introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the ofQit�/ , 1976.
