HomeMy WebLinkAbout13103 ORD - 03/24/1976• JRH:vmr:3- 23- 76;1st' • AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $13,563.90 OUT OF THE NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED FOR THE CONTRACT WITH ASPHALT MAINTENANCE CO., INC., FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WASHINGTON- CARVER AREA UNIT I STREET IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE "B ", APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 220- 72-1.3; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $13,563.90 out of the No. 220 Street Bond Fund to supplement funds previously appropriated for the contract with Asphalt Maintenance Co., Inc., for construction of Washington -Carver Area Unit I Street Improvements, Phase "B ", applicable to Project No. 220- 72 -1.3. SECTION 2. The necessity to provide sufficient funds for the completion of the aforesaid street improvements creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORAINED, this the l!y March, 1976.
