HomeMy WebLinkAbout13119 ORD - 03/31/1976AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 12592, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON APRIL 2, 1975; AMENDING THE 1975 -76 BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THE PAYMENT OF OPERATING COSTS FOR THE TRANSIT SYSTEM FOR FY 1974 -75 FOR THE PURPOSE OF TERMINATION OF THE WORKING CAPITAL ADVANCE FROM GENERAL FUND TO TRANSIT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $369,332; REAPPROPRIATING $111,528 FROM GENERAL FUND RESERVE AND $16,815 FROM FIFTH REVENUE SHARING ENTITLEMENT PERIOD RESERVE FOR THE TRANSIT FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That Ordinance 12592, passed and approved by the City Council on April 2, 1975, be and the same is hereby repealed. The FY 1975 -76 Budget is hereby amended to appropriate funds for the payment of operating costs for the Transit System for FY 1974 -75 for the purpose of termination of the working capital advance from General Fund to Transit Fund in the amount of $369,332. SECTION 2. That there is hereby reappropriated $111,528 from the General Fund Reserve and $16,815 from the Fifth Revenue Sharing Entitlement Period Reserve, for the Transit Fund. SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize the amendment and approp- riations hereinabove referred to at the earliest possible date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the Sus- pension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the � , day of March, 1976.
