AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE FY 1975 -76 TRANSIT BUDGET FOR THE
PURPOSE OF REDUCING THE ESTIMATE OF THE GRANT
REVENUE FROM THE URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION
ADMINISTRATION FROM $426,819 TO $402,476 AND
REDUCING THE GEMER L FUND APPROPRIATION FROM
$132,618 TO $91,568; REAPPROPRIATING FROM THE
FIFTH REVENUE SHARING ENTITLEMENT PERIOD RESERVE
$65,392 FOR CREDIT TO THE TRANSIT FUND; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF-THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Authorizing the amendment of the FY 1975 -76 Transit
Fund Budget for the purpose of reducing the estimate of the grant revenue
from the Urban Mass Transportation Administration from $426,819 to $402,476,
and revising the General Fund appropriation from $132,618 to $910568.
SECTION 2. Reappropriatiog from the Fifth Revenue Sharing
Entitlement Period Reserve $65,392 for credit to the Transit Fund.
SECTION 3. That the necessity to authorize the above amendment
and reappropriation of funds at the earliest possible date creates a public
emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of
the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally
on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall
be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having
declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the
suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be
in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO
ORDAINED this the dayof L , 1976.
