Home My WebLink About13135 ORD - 04/14/19760 JKH:hb:4 /13 /76:lst AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 TO THE CONTRACT WITH CACTUS UTILITY COMPANY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE CALALLEN TRUNK LINE (35 -A), A SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF SAID CHANGE ORDER BEING ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBIT "A "; APPROPRIATING $8,674 OUT OF THE NO. 250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FOND FOR SAID CHANGE ORDER, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 250- 72 -5.1; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. • BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 2 to the contract with Cactus Utility Company for construction of the Calallen Trunk Line (35-A) a substantial copy of said Change Order being attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $8,674 out of the No. 250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund for the aforesaid Change Order, applicable to Project No. 250- 72 -5.1. SECTION 3. That the necessity to execute the aforesaid Change Order and to provide the sums hereby appropriated in order that the Calallen Trunk Line (35 -A) construction may continue without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the/T day of , 1976.
