HomeMy WebLinkAbout13138 ORD - 04/14/1976JM:hb:4 /5/76:lst AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3658, AS AMENDED, BY CHANGING CERTAIN SALARY GRADE BY AMENDING SECTION 4 THEREOF; PROVIDING A SEVERANCE CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 3658 be and the same is hereby amended by reclassifying the following position: GENERAL, ADMINISTRATIVE AND CLERICAL GROUP CLASS CODE CLASS TITLE CLASS GRADE From To 153 Assistant Court Clerk 17 18 SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this'City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 3. The fact that there is a need to maintain at all times an efficient administration of City affairs creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and of er its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the �d y of 1976. /A�T�T(�E/jSJ�T : City Secre-Eaiy MAYOR THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS OVED: DAY OF (/f 1976: J.
