HomeMy WebLinkAbout13203 ORD - 06/02/1976jkh:6 -1 -76; 1st TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE PARCELS 1 AND 2 IN CONNECTION WITH THE EXTENSION OF RAMIREZ STREET; APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND THE SUM OF $3000 FOR PROJECT NO. 220- 64 -64, RIGHT OF WAY, MINOR STREETS, OF WHICH AMOUNT $2,200 IS FOR ACQUISITION OF THE SAID PARCELS AND $800 IS FOR CONTINGENCIES AND INCIDENTAL EXPENSES RELATED TO CLOSING; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute documents necessary to acquire Parcels 1 and 2, in connection with the extension of Ramirez Street, said Parcel 1 to be acquired from Horatio Frank Leftwich, Jr. and wife, Edrice D. Leftwich, said parcel being more particularly described as follows: PARCEL 1 The Southeast Forty -Five Feet (45') of Lot Nine (9), Block "C ", Parker Addition to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, as shown by the map or plat thereof, recorded in Volume A, page 4, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas; and said Parcel 2 being acquired from Mrs. Marge Callahan, said parcel being more particularly described as follows: PARCEL 2 The Northwest Ninety Feet (90') of Lot Nine (9), Block C, Parker Addition to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, as shown by the map or plat thereof, recorded in Volume A, page 4, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 220 Street Bond Fund the sum of $3000, of which amount $2,200 is for acquisition of the aforesaid parcels and $800 is for contingencies and incidental expenses related to closing, all in connection with Project No. 220- 64 -64, Right of Way: Minor Streets (extension of Ramirez Street). SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize acquisition of the aforesaid parcels and to appropriate the funds necessary for said acquisition creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having MICROFILMED 13203 d®w J 61990 declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of June, 1976.
