HomeMy WebLinkAbout13240 ORD - 06/23/1976JKH:hb:6 /22/76:lst AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $15,617.38 OUT OF THE VARIOUS BOND FUNDS FOR EXPENSES IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF $3,500,000 GENERAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS, SERIES 1976, SOLD ON APRIL 21, 1976; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $15,617.38 out of various bond funds as hereinafter set forth for expenses in connection with the sale of $3,500,000 General Improvement Bonds, Series 1976, said sale having been conducted on April 21, 1976, said expenses being as follows: Bond Attorney, Hobby H. McCall $ 4,779.52 Financial Advisor, M. E. Allison, Sr. 10,068.86 Printing Bonds, Hart Graphic & Office Centers, Inc., Austin, Texas 769.00 $15,617.38 Bonds Fund Sold Percent Appropriation 220 Street Bond Fund $ 475,000 13.57 $ 2,119.28 250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund 1,135,000 32.43 5,064.72 291 Park Bond Fund 1,390,000 39.71 6,201.66 295 Storm Sewer Bond Fund 500,000 14.29 2,231.72 $3;500;000 °100.OD $15;617.38 SECTION 2. The necessity for making the appropriation as described hereinabove creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the day of 1976.
