HomeMy WebLinkAbout13246 ORD - 06/23/1976jkh:6- 22 -76; 1st TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE FACILITY PLAN FOR THE OSO WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS AS PREPARED BY URBAN ENGINEERING, A SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF UHICH IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY SECRETARY AND MADE A PART HEREOF BY REFERENCE THE SAME AS IF COPIED VERBATIM HEREIN; AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF ALL COMPLETED STEP 1 WORK TO THE TEXAS WATER QUALITY BOARD AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PROCEED IN MAKING APPLICATION TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY THROUGH THE TEXAS WATER QUALITY BOARD FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE STEP 2 WORK FOR THE SYSTEM AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That there is hereby adopted the Facility Plan for the Oso Wastewater Treatment System Improvements as prepared by Urban Engineering, a substantial copy of which is on file in the office of the City Secretary and made a part hereof by reference the same as if copied verbatim herein. SECTION 2. That authorization is hereby given for submission of all completed Step 1 work to the Texas Water Quality Board and that the City Manager be authorized to proceed in making application to the Environmental Protection Agency through the Texas Water Quality Board for Federal assistance for the Step 2 work for the system and related improve- ments. SECTION 3. The necessity to adopt the Facility Plan above referred to and to authorize submission of completed Step 1 work and to authorize the City Manager to proceed in making application for assistance in Step 2 work, all in connection with the Oso Wastewater Treatment System Improvements, creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS MICROFILMED X3246 AH 17 1980 � N 1980 ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of June, 1976.
