HomeMy WebLinkAbout13265 ORD - 06/30/1976e:6/29/76 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $95,696.69 AS FOLLOWS: $76,319.17 FROM #220 STREET BOND FUND; $ 2,537.95 FROM #245 AIRPORT BOND FUND; $ 6,138.85 FROM #250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND; AND $10,700.72 FROM #295 STORM SEWER BOND FUND, TO SUPPLEMENT $10,750.37 REMAINING FROM FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED FOR INCIDENTAL AND RELATED EXPENSES APPLICABLE TO VARIOUS PROJECTS AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED TABULATION, MARKED EXHIBIT "A" WHICH IS MADE A PART HEREOF; AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT OF $106,447.06 TO THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND FOR ENGINEER- ING SERVICES PROVIDED DURING THE PERIOD OF NOVEMBER, 1975 THROUGH JANUARY, 1976; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: as follows: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $95,696.69 $76,319.17 from #220 Street Bond Fund; $ 2,537.95 from #245 Airport Bond Fund; $ 6,138.85 from #250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund; and $10,700.72 from #295 Storm Sewer Bond Fund, to supplement $10,750.37 remaining from funds previously appropriated for incidental and related expenses applicable to various projects as shown on the attached tabulation marked Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Reimbursement is hereby authorized in the amount of $106,447.06 to #102 General Fund for engineering services provided during the period of November, 1975 through January, 1976. SECTION 2. That the necessity to reimburse #102 General Fund as hereinbefore set out creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and MICROFILMED, JUN 17 WO JL3265 effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the 30 day of June, 1976. B UCE AYCOCK, Cit Attorney By Assistant ClXy Attorne# CORRECTED JUNE 24, 1976 FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL PALOMA STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND JARVIS STREET IMPROVEMENTS* Paloma Street, from Ocean Drive to Jarvis Drive, and 172' South of Jarvis Drive to 290' North of Alameda Street and Jarvis Drive, from Paloma to Wray Lane Paloma Street, within the limits described, is to be improved by excava- tion to a width and depth to permit the construction of a 28' wide back to back of curb street, 4" standard curb and gutter, 6" compacted sub - grade, 8" compacted caliche base and 112' Type D hot -mix asphalt surface. From Ocean Drive to Jarvis Drive, the sidewalks will be 5' wide tied to back of curb, and from 172' south of Jarvis to 290' north of Alameda, on the east side only, the sidewalk will be 4' wide. All driveways will be 6" thick reinforced concrte. The assessment rates have been determined by taking the unit prices used in the low bid submitted by Asphalt Maintenance Company and.applying these unit prices to the front footage of the abutting properties in accordance with the assessment policy. The rates are as follows: Pavement, Curb and Gutter $6.40 p.l.f. Sidewalk .75 p.s.f. Driveway 1.81 p.s.f.
