HomeMy WebLinkAbout13283 ORD - 07/14/1976JKH:hb':7 /12/76:lst AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1,150 OUT OF THE SECOND ENTITLEMENT PERIOD AND $200 OUT OF THE THIRD ENTITLEMENT PERIOD, GENERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND, FOR A TOTAL APPROPRI- ATION OF $1,350, WHICH AMOUNT IS TO BE TRANSFERRED TO THE NO. 291 PARK BOND FUND, FOR PROJECT 291 -72- 12, FOR APPRAISAL SERVICES BY THOMAS F. DORSEY IN CONNECTION WITH THE ACQUISITION OF PARCELS 103 AND 304, CORPUS CHRISTI BEACH PARK SITES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $1,150 out of the Second Entitlement Period and $200 out of the Third Entitle- ment Period, General Revenue Sharing Fund, for a total appropriation of $1,350, which amount is to be transferred to the No. 291 Park Bond Fund for Project No. 291- 72 -12, for appraisal services by Thomas F. Dorsey in connection with the acquisition of Parcels 103 and 304, Corpus Christi Beach Park Sites. SECTION 2. The necessity to appropriate the sums hereinabove described in order that there be no delay in acquiring Parcels 103 and 304, Corpus Christi Beach Park Sites, and that the project proceed to its completion at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be In full force and effect from and ter its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the day of , 1976.
