HomeMy WebLinkAbout13308 ORD - 07/28/1976C JKE:hb:7 /26/76:lst AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 5127, SECTION 1, SUBSECTION (e), BY CHANGING CERTAIN POSITION TITLES AND BY ESTABLISHING CERTAIN POSITIONS WITHIN THE ADMINIS- TRATIVE, EXECUTIVE, PROFESSIONAL AND LABORERS SERIES; PROVIDING A SEVERANCE CLAUSE;.AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS; SECTION 1. That Section 1, Subsection (e) of Ordinance No. 8127, as amended, be amended by changing the title of the following position, effective August 2, 1976: ADMINISTRATIVE, EXECUTIVE, PROFESSIONAL AND LABORERS Class Code Class Title Class Grade From: To: 085 Assistant Coliseum Manager Assistant Building Manager 27 and by establishing the following positions, effective August 2, 1976: - ADMINISTRATIVE, EXECUTIVE, PROFESSIONAL AND LABORERS Class Code Class Title Class Grade 089 Assistant Water Superintendent 34 091 Assistant to the Director 33 SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, sub- division, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 3. The fact that there is a need to maintain at all times an efficient administration of City affairs creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at MICROFII `' MICROFILMED 018 JUN 1 61980 three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and a r its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the 44x day of , 1976.
