BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CdRISTI, TEXAS.
sEcrrox 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorised
to execute all documents necessary for assignment to the United States of
the right, privilege and easement to enter on public streets and sight-
of-way located in Brooklyn Addition and Corpus Christi Hotel Addition .
the City of Corpus Christi, for the Corpus Christi Beach Restoration Pro-
ject, using substantially the same form . the document attached hereto,

SECT/011 2. That the necessity to authorize the ...tin. of
the aforementioned documents at the earliest possible date so that the
Corpus Christi Reach Restoration will proceed in an orderly manner, creates
a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the sus -
pensi. of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed
finally ou the date of its introduction but 01190 9011h ordinance or resolu-
tion shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the
Mayor having declared such emergency aud necessity to exiat, having
requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take
effect and be in full force and effect from and a er its passage, IT IS

THIS grant from the Cyty of Corpus Ch.., Texas, hereinafter styled the
City, to the United States of America, hereinafter styled the UnIted States,
WITMESSETH.
THAT whereas, the City has assumed the responsibrIrty of loc. cooperation
recurred by the Feder. project for restoration of Corp. Christi Beach which
project was autho.red in accordance with Section 201 of the Flood Control Act
of 1965, and
WHEREAS, io snsh CoPacrt, the City has occurred easements or other
rights hereinafter descrabed supp.rt ood are required
for construction, operation and maintenance of said project, and
WHEREAS, it has now become necessary to temporarsly assign sard rights
and easements to the United States in order to accommodate project construction;
N 0 W therefore, for and in consrderation of the benefrts accruing,to its
citizens as the result of seal project, the City does by these presents gront
and ...pp unto the United States and its assigns, for the term hereinafter
specified. In the lands hereinafter described, the tight, privilege and easement
to enter thereon with men, material and equipment to perform all work related to
construction of the prodect for restoration of Co,. Christi Bes. as described in
House BOCUMenC NUMber D1-415, 91st Congress, 2nd Session, and in Design Memoranda
approved by the Chief of Engineers, which documents are incorporoted bY
this reference

T H E term of this grant shall begin with the date hervof and end upon the
completion of project construction.
T H E City does hereby covenant with the United States and its assigns Chat
it is lawfully seised of the heretofore granted premises, and that said
premises are free from all encumbrances, and that It has good right to convey
the rights herein granted, and that it will warrant a. defend title to the
same in the United States and its assigns, for the term specified, against
the claims and demands of all persons.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Corpus Christi has caused
these presents to be executed on this day of 1976.
