HomeMy WebLinkAbout13360 ORD - 08/25/1976jkh:8- 24 -76; 1st AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT FOR MAINTENANCE DREDGING OF THE OSO BOAT RAMP FACILITY, SAID DREDGING MAINTENANCE COST NOT TO EXCEED $3,000, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for maintenance dredging of the Oso Boat Ramp facility, said dredging maintenance cost to be reimbursed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in an amount not to exceed $3,000. The City Manager is further authorized to execute all documents necessary to implement the said project. SECTION 2. The necessity to authorize execution of the contract aforesaid in order that the Oso Boat Ramp facility may be properly maintained to insure its maximum usage creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordi- nance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the ;5J day of August, 1976.
