HomeMy WebLinkAbout13380 ORD - 09/08/1976jkh:9 -7 -76; 1st TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $7,000 OUT OF THE NO. 250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND TO SUPPLEMENT EXISTING APPROPRIATIONS PROVIDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 12919, DATED NOVEMBER 26, 1975, FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES PROVIDED BY McCAUGHAN & ETHERIDGE, CONSULTING ENGINEERS, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 250- 72 -5.1, CALALLEN TRUNK LINE, SECTION 35 -A; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $7,000 out of the No. 250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund to supplement existing appropriations provided in Ordinance No. 12919, dated November 26, 1975, for engineering services provided by McCaughan & Etheridge, Consulting Engineers, applicable to Project No. 250- 72 -5.1, Calallen Trunk Line, Section 35 -A. SECTION 2. That the-necessity to provide sufficient funds in order that the aforesaid project may continue without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to e)d st, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of September, 1976.
