AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
1976 REVISION, BY AMENDING SECTION 53 -255, SCHEDULE VI,
DECREASE OF STATE LAW MAXIMUM SPEED, SO AS TO DECREASE THE
SPEED ON ALL ROADS AND PARKING LOTS IN COLE PARK TO 15
MILES PER HOUR AT ALL TIMES; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION;
PROVIDING SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi,
1976 Revision, be and the same is hereby amended by adding to Section 53 -255,
Schedule VI, DECREASE OF STATE LAW MAXIMUM SPEED, the following:
NAME OF STREET SPEED LIMIT EFFECTIVE
TIMES
Cole Park Roads, all roads and
parking lots in Cole Park 15 miles per hour At all times
said limits to apply to the roads as shown on the attached Exhibit "A", made a
part hereof for all intents and purposes as if herein.
SECTION 2. The changes as hereinabove set forth are to become
effective when the roads and parking lots described are,so signed.
SECTION 3. Publication shall be made in the official publication
of the City of Corpus Christi one time which publication shall contain the caption
stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance.
SECTION G. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or
unconstitutional by final. judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction it shall
not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or
provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council
that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision,
hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith shall be and are hereby repealed to the extent of conflict herewith.
