HomeMy WebLinkAbout13467 ORD - 11/03/1976JKR:hb:11/3/76 ;, - S AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $3,593.70 OUT OF THE NO. 250 SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND TO SUPPLEMENT EXISTING APPROPRIATIONS PROVIDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 12919, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON NOVEMBER 26, 1975, AND NO. 13380, PASSED AND APPROVED ON SEPTEMBER 8, 1976, OF WHICH APPROPRIATION $1,159.40 IS FOR THE REMAINING AMOUNT REQUIRED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT, PAY- ABLE TO CACTUS UTILITY COMPANY AND $2,434:30 IS FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES PROVIDED BY McCAUGHAN & ETHERIDGE, CONSULTING ENGINEERS, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 250- 72-5.1, CALALLEN TRUNK LINE, SECTION 35 -A; AND DE- CLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $3,593.70 out of the No. 250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund to supplement existing appropriations provided by Ordinance No. 12919, passed and approved by the City Council on November 26, 1975, and No. 13380, passed and approved bn September 8, 1976, of which appropriation $1,159.40 is for the remaining amount required for the construction contract, payable to Cactus Utility Company, and $2,434.30 is for engineering services provided by McCaughan & Etheridge, Consulting Engineering, applicable to Project No. 250- 72 -5.1, Calallen Trunk Line, Section 35 -A. SECTION 2. The necessity to provide the necessary sums in order that the Calallen Trunk Line, Section 35 -A, may be continued to completion without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and a ter its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the t day of 1976.
