The corrected letter is attached hereto for your records. ;iayor's Office 4- DEPARTMENTAL FOLLOW -UP CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS r65'Y JASON LUBY MAYDR November 17, 1976 Public City Council City Manager City Secretary Re: Under the Provision of Article II, Section 6, of the City Charter, I exercise my duty as Mayor of the City of Corpus - Christi to veto Ordinance No. 13472-, in reference 4" to the Deletion of Four Fire Alarm Operator Positions and Adding Four Fire Dispatcher Positions Ladies and Gentlemen: As per statement November 10, referenced veto: k. Third Reading - Amending the 1976 -77 Budget by deleting four Fire Alarm Operator positions and adding four Fire Fire Dispatcher positions. (First Reading „10 /27/76; Second Reading 11 /3 /76;,Third Reading 11/10/76). I have not received any recommendations from the Civil Service Commission as to the necessity for making this change and for making it within the existing city, state and federal laws. Pending a recommendation from the Civil Service Commission, I feel that a veto is necessary at this time. In conclusion, may this letter be accepted into the City Record as a cause for veto; therefore, I am returning City Ordinance No. 134&unsigned. Jason Luby Mayor
