AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING OUT -OF THE NO. 218 TRANSIT BOND FUND
FOR PROJECT NO. 218 -72 -2, BUS REPLACEMENT - 1975
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS, $15,078.69 FOR THE PURCHASE
OF FIFTEEN (15) BUS SHELTERS, AS PROVIDED IN THE
1975 UMTA CAPITAL GRANT PROJECT TX -03 -0020; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated out of the
No. 218 Transit Bond Fund for Project No. 218 -72 -2, Bus Replacement -
1975 Capital Improvements, $15,078.69 for the purchase of fifteen (15)
bus shelters as provided in the 1975 UMTA Capital Grant No. TX -03 -0020,
Project Budget Line Item No. 10.09.01.
SECTION 2. The necessity to provide the necessary funds for
these bus shelters as aforesaid creates a public emergency and an
Imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule
that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of
its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at
three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared
such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension
of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date
of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effectWrom
and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the W _day
of November, 1976.
