Home My WebLink About13492 ORD - 11/24/1976JKH:vmr:11- 24- 76;lst L TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE t AMENDING THE CORPUS CHRISTI PRESERVATION PLAN ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 13375, ON THE 8TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1976, SO AS TO CHANGE THE FOURTH PARAGRAPH OF THE PREAMBLE IN SECTION IV OF SAID PLAN SO AS TO DELETE THE PHRASE "NOR DE- SIGNATED AS HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL ZONING "; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the Corpus Christi Preservation Plan presented by the City Planning Commission and the City Landmark Commission and adopted by Ordinance No. 13375 on September 8, 1976, be and the same is hereby amended to change the fourth paragraph of the preamble in Section IV, "Identification and Inventory ", to read as follows: "No site shall be included in this Preservation Plan without the written consent of the owner thereof" i SECTION 2. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi by publishing the caption of this ordinance, stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance. SECTION 3. The necessity to approve the above stated amendment at the earliest possible date so as to maintain a comprehensive plan creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally .a on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having de- clared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspen- sion of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from a d after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the o2�f2fii day of ftt&Y)t,L AA- " 1976.
