DOT -FA -76SW -1733, FOR $103,650; APPRO- PRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 245 AIRPORT BOND FUND FOR ^ PROJECT NO. 245- 68 -26, PURCHASE 1,000 - GALLON FOAM FIRE RESCUE VEHICLE, THE AMOUNT OF $103,650 FOR THE SAID PURCHASE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That authorization is hereby given for purchase of one 1,000 - gallon capacity crash fire rescue vehicle from Fire X Corpor- ation, Bellevue, Washington, as provided in the 1976 Airport Development Aid Program Project No. 6 -48- 0051 -04, Contract No. DOT -FA- 76SW -1733, for $103,650. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 245 Airport Bond Fund for Project No. 245- 68 -26, purchase of a 1,000 - gallon foam fire rescue vehicle, the amount of $103,650 for the said purchase. SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize purchase of the herein- . above described crash fire rescue vehicle for use at the airport and to provide the necessary sums to purchase the same creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the )� CL ay of December, 1976.
