TEXAS:
AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR THE
YOUTH CONSERVATION PROGRAM AND TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS
NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE PROGRAM; REAPPROPRIATING IN
FUND NO. 162 THE BALANCE OF $5,666 OF REVENUE ACCOUNT
2429 (CONTRIBUTION FROM TRUST FUNDS) REMAINING FROM
THE 1976 YOUTH CONSERVATION PROJECT; SAID SUM TO;-BE FOR
PURCHASE OF MATERIALS AND FOR FUTURE REIMBURSEMENTS TO
ACTIVITY 4122, CODE 604 FOR WORK DONE BY CITY FORCES
DURING THE 1977 YOUTH CONSERVATION CORPS PROJECT; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with the Texas Department of Community Affairs for the
Youth Conservation Program, and to execute all documents necessary to imple-
ment the program.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby reappropriated in Fund No. 162 the
balance of $5,666 of Revenue Account 2429 (contribution from Trust Funds)re-
maining from the 1976 Youth Conservation Project. Said sum to be for the
purchase of materials and for future reimbursements to Activity 4122, Code 604
for work done by City forces during the 1977 Youth Conservation Corps Project.
SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize the City Manager to enter into
the above mentioned contract and to reappropriate the necessary funds at the
earliest possible date creates a public emergency and an imperative public
necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or
resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such
ordinance or resolution shall'be read at three several meetings of the City
Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist,
and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance
take effect and be in full force and effect from and / ft r its passage, IT IS
