NORTH STAPLES STREET '(M.H.144) FROM I.H. 37 TO WEST BROADWAY, PROJECT NO. MRO16(1);:AND 2. WINNEBAGO STREET, FROM NORTH ALAMEDA STREET TO NORTH STAPLES STREET, PROJECT NO. MR016 (1), BY AMENDING SECTION 3 OF SAID ORDINANCE SO AS TO CORRECT AND ADJUST THE ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AGAINST THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS, ALL AS HEREINAFTER PROVIDED; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 13165, passed and approved by the City Council on the 5th day of May, 1976, closing the hearing on street improvements for portions of North Staples Street and Winnebago Street, in the City of Corpus Christi, be amended byreorrecting and ad- justing the assessments levied against abutting property on the following streets: 1. North Staples Street (M.H. 144) from I.H. 37 to West Broadway, Project No. MR016 (1); and 2. Winnebago Street, from North Alameda Street to North Staples Street, Project No. MR016 (1), as more fully described in the corrected and adjusted�assessment roll, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A ", and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately amend the assessment roll as herein set forth creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED MICROFILMED 135'73 this the IqA- day of January, 1977. North Staples Street (M.H. 144) from I.H. 37 to West Broadway, " Project No. M $016 (1); 2. Winnebago Street from North Alameda Street to North Staples Street, Project No. M R016 (1) The improvements shall consist of excavation to a width and depth necessary to provide for the construction of a roadway varying in width from 39' to 45' including curb and gutter. The roadway section will be composed of 6" o8; ;compacted lime sta bilized subgrade, 6" of base material compacted and lime treated, one course of underseal surface treatment and 2" of asphalt- concrete riding surface. Other improve menu shall include 4" thick reinforced concrete sidewalks and 6" thick reinforced concrete driveways where specified on the construction plans or requested by the ' abutting'property owners. This project is built jointly by the City and the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation. This project was bid together with improvements to Starlite Lane. The assessment rates have been calculated in accordance with the City's paving assess- ment policy based on the low bid submitted to the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation on March 24, 1976. The assessment rates for this project are as follows: Curb, Gutter and Pavement (39' width) @ $10.31 p.l.f. Curb, Gutter and Pavement (41' -45' width) @ $10.97 p.l.f. ' Sidewalk @ $ .75 p.s.f._ Driveway @ $18.11 P.S.Y.
