HomeMy WebLinkAbout13602 ORD - 02/02/1977• JKH:vp:1/31/77:lst TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1976 -77 BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $52,338 FROM THE GAS FUND UNAPPROPRIATED FUND BALANCE AND INCREASING THE GAS FUND PAYMENT IN LIEU OF PROPERTY TAXES FROM $59,376 TO $111,714; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the 1976 -77 Budget be and the same is hereby amended by appropriating $52,338 from the Gas Fund Unappropriated Fund Balance and increasing the Gas Fund payment in lieu of property taxes from $59,376 to $111,714. SECTION 2. The necessity to amend the 1976 -77 City Budget, as hereinabove set forth, at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the _,2-A W day of February, 1977.
