HomeMy WebLinkAbout13620 ORD - 02/16/1977• e:2/15/77 - _ • AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH McKISSACK ASSOCIATES, INC., FOR GRAPHICS AT CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT; APPROPRIATING $1,500 FROM NO. 245 AIRPORT BOND FUND TO SUPPLEMENT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED FOR THIS PURPOSE BY ORDINANCE NO. 13227, FOR A TOTAL PROJECT AMOUNT OF $10,000, OF WHICH $9,668 IS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AND $332 IS FOR INCIDENTAL AND RELATED EXPENSES, ALL APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 245 -68 -23.1, INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT GRAPHICS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a contract with McKissack Associates, Inc., for graphics at Corpus Christi International Airport, all as is more fully set forth in the specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference, and according to the bid of McKissack Associates, Inc., opened on the 8th day of February, 1977, all applicable to Project No. 245 -68 -23.1. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of No. 245 Airport Bond Fund $1,500 to supplement funds previously appropriated for this purpose by Ordinance No. 13227, passed and approved by the City Council on June 16, 1976, for a total project amount of $10,000, of which $9,668 is for the construction contract and $332 is for incidental and related expenses, all applicable to Project No. 245 -68 -23.1, International Airport Graphics. SECTION 3. That the necessity to authorize the execution of the above mentioned contract and to appropriate the additional funds necessary to complete this project so that the work will proceed in an orderly manner creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordi- nance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, MICRORLMID JUL 0 1 i .oLO 13620 IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the 15th day of February, 1977.
