BLACK FOR THE BAYFRONT AREA IMPROVEMENTS; APPROPRIATING AND REAPPROPRIATING $34,437 OF WHICH $32,766.50 IS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT, $1,670.50 IS FOR INCIDENTAL AND RELATED EXPENSES; OF THE TOTAL APPROPRIATION $22,000 IS FROM THE NO. 230 BRIDGE BOND FUND APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 230- 55 -24, HARBOR BRIDGE PARR.; $3,800 IS FROM THE NO. 220 STREET BOND FUND APPLI- CABLE TO PROJECT NO. 220- 72 -45, SIDEWALK RAMPS ON SHORELINE DRIVE; $5,522 IS, FROM THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND, ACTIVITY 3291, CODE 345, FOR DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS TO CITY HALL; AND $3,115 IS FROM THE N0. 102 GENERAL FUND, ACTIVITY 3573, CODE 502, FOR SIDEWALKS AND DRIVEWAY RAMPS AT THE HARBOR PLAYHOUSE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a contract with R. S. Black for the Bayfront Area Improvements, all as more fully described in the plans and specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the bid of R. S. Black, opened on the 23rd day of February, 1977, said bid being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated and reappropriated the sum of $34,437, of which $32,766.50 is for the construction contract and $1,670.50 is for incidental and related expenses. Of the total appropriation $22,000 is from the No. 230 Bridge Bond Fund, applicable to Project No. 230- 55-24, Harbor Bridge Park; $3,800 is from the No. 220 Street Bond Fund, appli- cable to Project No. 220 - 72-45, Sidewalk Ramps on Shoreline Drive; $5,522 is from the No. 102 General Fund, Activity 3291, Code 345, for drainage improve- ments to City Hall; and $3,115 is from the No. 102 General Fund, Activity 3573, Code 502, for sidewalks and driveway ramps at the Harbor Playhouse. SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize execution of the aforesaid agreement and appropriation and reappropriation of the sums necessary in order to complete the described improvements as soon as possible creates a public MICROFILMED 0 7198p 13665 emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IeT IS ACCORDINGLY SO OR- DAINED, this the �day of 1977.
