HomeMy WebLinkAbout13670 ORD - 03/02/19770 'JXH:hb:3 /1/77 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCELS 1, 2 AND 3 IN CONNECTION WITH THE AZTEC STREET EXTENSION, PROJECT NO. 220- 72 -42; APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE 220 STREET BOND FUND $17,000 OF WHICH $14,550 IS FOR ACQUISITION AND $2,450 IS FOR RELOCATION EXPENSE AND CONTINGENCIES AND INCIDENTAL EXPENSES RELATED TO CLOSING; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute documents necessary for the acquisition of Parcels 1, 2 and 3 in connection with the Aztec Street Extension, Project No. 220- 72 -42. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 220 Street Bond Fund the sum of $17,000, of which $140550 is for acquisition and $2,450 is for relocation expense, contingencies, and incidental expenses, all applicable to Project No. 220- 72 -42. SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize execution of the documents necessary to acquire the aforesaid parcels and to appropriate sufficient funds therefor creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the o?,t4 day of March, 1977.
