HomeMy WebLinkAbout13679 ORD - 03/02/1977• JR[3:vmr:3- 2- 77;1st • AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1976 -77 BUDGET, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 13309, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON JULY 28, 1976, BY APPROPRIATING AND REAPPROPRIAT- ING THE SUM OF $36,483 FROM THE GENERAL FUND RESERVE, ACTIVITY 4297, CODE 490, AS A CONTRIBUTION TO THE TRANSIT FUND TO BE APPLIED TO OPERATIONAL EXPENSES FOR THE 1975 -76 FISCAL YEAR, SUCH CONTRIBUTION TO BE CLASSIFIED AS AN ADDITIONAL LOCAL SHARE IN SUPPORT OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION ADMINISTRATION IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $375,976; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the 1976 -77 Budget, adopted by Ordinance No. 13309, passed and approved on July 28, 1976, be and the same is hereby amended by appropriating and reappropriating the sum of $36,483 from the General Fund Reserve, Activity 4297, Code 490, as a contribution to the Transit Fund to be applied to operational expenses for the 1975 -76 Fiscal Year, such contribution to be classified as an additional local share in support of a grant application to the Urban Mass Transportation in the estimated amount of $375,976. SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately amend the 1976 -77 Budget as hereinabove set forth creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORD- INGLY SO ORDAINED, this the -244 ay of � /�wt,(�/v , 1977 ATTEST: City Secretary MAYOR pIo_ o THE CITY OF CORPUS CEkSTI, TEXAS AP 0 DAY OF MARCH, 1977 J.
