HomeMy WebLinkAbout13702 ORD - 03/23/1977• jkh:3- 23- 77;`lst 1 _ • AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3658, AS AMENDED, BY CHANGING CERTAIN SALARY GRADES, CREATING CERTAIN POSITIONS, AND DELETING CERTAIN POSITIONS, BY AMENDING SECTION 4 THEREOF; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 8127, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 1, SUBSECTION (e), SO AS TO CHANGE CERTAIN POSITION CLASS TITLE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 3658, as amended, be amended by creating the following new position title: ENGINEERING AND SCIENCES Class Code CLASS TITLE Class Grade 337 CETA Analyst IV 27 338 CETA Analyst I 18 and by changing the following position titles: Class Code Class Title Class Grade From To 323 Manpower Planner CETA Planner 29 324 Manpower Management CETA Analyst III 25 Specialist From To 409 324 Assistant Manpower CETA Analyst III 25 Planner and by reclassifying and changing position title of the following position: Class Code Class Title Class Grade From To From To 330 Management Informa- CETA Analyst II 22 23 tion Specialist SECTION 2. That Section 1, Subsection (e) of Ordinance No. 8127, as amended, be amended by changing the class title of the following position as set forth: Class Code Class Title Class Grade From To 065 Manpower Training CETA Director 34 Coordinator MICROALMED 13702 JUL 07 1980 SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 4. The fact that there is a need to maintain at all times an efficient administration of City affairs creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 2.3-14 day of March, 1977.
