HomeMy WebLinkAbout13705 RES - 03/30/1977• Jkh:3- 29 -77; 1st • TEXAS: A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PRIORITIES FOR THE FUNDING OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION GRANTS FOR THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH HEREINAFTER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the following priorities for the funding of Criminal Justice Division grants for the City of Corpus Christi are hereby established: •1. Nueces County Organized Crime Control Unit; 2. Narcotics Task Force; 3. Counter Fencing Task Force; 4. Rape Crisis Center; 5. Night Magistrate; 6. Technical Equipment; and 7. Polygraph. SECTION 2. The necessity to establish priorities for the funding of Criminal Justice Division grants creates a public emergency and an impera- tive public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this resolution be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction and that such resolution take effect and be in full force and effect from an after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO RESOLVED, this the 30 C ay of�, 1977.
