HomeMy WebLinkAbout13715 ORD - 04/20/1977• JKH:vp:4 /1- 9/77:1st TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3658, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 4 THEREOF TO RECLASSIFY THE POSITION OF PHYSICIAN'S ASSISTANT AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH HERE- INAFTER PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING A SEVERANCE CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 3658, as amended, be amended by reclassifying the following position: HEALTH AND RECREATION GROUP CLASS CODE CLASS TITLE CLASS GRADE 502 Physician's Assistant From 16 To 18 SECTION 2. The provisions of this ordinance shall take effect and be in effect from and after its passage. • SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 4. The fact that there is a need to maintain at all times an efficient administration of City affairs creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of Its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and MI�ROr��ME�Y JUL a 7 1980. .13'715 after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the .20 4k day of April, 1977.
