ALLISON, SR., TO PROVIDE BOND ATTORNEY SER- VICES AND FINANCIAL ADVISORY SERVICES, RESPECTIVELY, FOR THE SALE OF $8,000,000 COMMUNITY- CONVENTION FACILITY BONDS ON JUNE 15, 1977; APPROPRIATING $28,314 OUT OF THE N0. 102 GENERAL FUND BALANCE TO PAY THE COST OF SELLING THE SAID BONDS, WITH REIM- BURSEMENT TO BE MADE TO THE GENERAL FUND OUT OF THE PROCEEDS OF THE BOND SALE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That authorization is hereby granted for employ- ment of Hobby H. McCall and M. E. Allison, Sr., to provide bond attorney services and financial advisory services, respectively, for the sale of $8,000,000 Community- Con7ention Facility bonds on June 15, 1977. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 102 General Fund Balance the am of $28,314 to pay the cost of selling the aforesaid bonds, with reimbursement to be made to the General Fund out of the proceeds of the bond sale. SECTION 3. The urgent necessity to authorize employment of the bond attorney and financial advisor and to provide the sums necessary therefor in order that the bond sale aforesaid may proceed without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the —& day of May, 1977.
