HomeMy WebLinkAbout13727 ORD - 05/11/1977• .TfOi:hb:5 /9/77 AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING ANITA GARZA AS MUNICIPAL COURT CLERK IN CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS; FIXING THE SALARY FOR SAID OFFICE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PRO- VIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the appointment of Anita Garza as Municipal Court Clark in Corpus Christi, Texas is hereby declared and affirmed. Said appointment shall be subject to the provisions of City ordinances, the City Charter and State law concerning Municipal Courts. SECTION 2. The annual gross salary of the said Municipal Court Clerk is hereby fixed at pay Grade 27 -D Step, now $1,243 per month, payable out of the General Funds of the City. SECTION 3. The provisions of this ordinance shall take affect and be in effect from and after May 11, 1977. SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed to the extent of said conflict. SECTION 5. The necessity for immediate provision for the appointment of the Municipal Court Clerk in Corpus Christi, Texas and the fisIno of salary creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance take effect and be in full force and affect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the 114 day of May, 1977.
