AN ORDINANCE
FINDING THAT THE COST OF PROVIDING CITY'S INTRA-
STATE CHARTER BUS SERVICE HAS SUBSTANTIALLY
INCREASED; ESTABLISHING NEW RATES FOR BUS CHARTER
SERVICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TARIFF ESTABLISHED
BY THE RAILROAD COMMISSION, FOR REGULAR AND REST -
ROOM EQUIPPED CHARTERS; AMENDING SECTION 2, ITEM
(c), OF ORDINANCE NO. 9864, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE
NOS. 10853, 11794, 12366, AND 13182, TO CONFORM TO
SAID TEXAS RAILROAD COMMISSION TARIFF; AND PRO-
VIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the cost of providing City intrastate charter bus
service, including operators' salaries and bus maintenance, has increased
substantially since May 19, 1976; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Railroad Commission on March 5, 1977,
amended the tariff applicable to charter bus service; and
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi is desirous of conforming
its rate schedule to the tariff established by the Texas Railroad Commie-
Sion:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the rate schedule for charter service for
equipment with restroom service be and the same is hereby adopted at the
rate as shown on the attached schedule labeled Table D -2, beginning with
line 5, 39 passengers, which Table is incorporated herein the same as if
written herein for all Corpus Christi Transit service out -of -town charter
service for equipment with restroom service.
SECTION 2. That the rate schedule for charter service for
equipment without restroom service be and the same is hereby adopted at
the rate shown on the attached schedule labeled Table D -2, beginning with
line 1, 35 passengers or less, which Table is incorporated herein.the same
as if written herein for all Corpus Christi Transit service out -of -town
charter service for equipment without restroom service.
SECTION 3. That Section 2, Item (c), of Ordinance No. 98640
passed and approved by the City Council on July 29, 1970, as amended by
Ordinances 10853, 11794, 12366, and 13182, be amended to hereafter read
as follows:

SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
SECTION 5. Publication shall be made one time in the official
Publication of the City of Corpus Christi, by publishing the caption of
this ordinance, stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance.
