AMENDING THE BUDGET OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1976 -77 BY APPROPRIATING $106,205
FROM THE ANTI - RECESSIONARY PAYMENTS FUND (FUND 151)
AS A CONTRIBUTION TO THE WATER FUND; INCREASING THE
ESTIMATED REVENUE OF THE WATER FUND BY $106,205;
APPROPRIATING $106,205 IN THE WATER FUND FOR ADDITIONAL
ELECTRICAL COSTS;AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Budget of the City of Corpus Christi
for the fiscal year 1976 -77, adopted by Ordinance No. 13309, be amended
by appropriating $106,205 from the Anti - Recessionary Payments Fund (Fund
151) as a contribution to the Water Fund; increasing the estimated revenue
of the Water Fund by $106,205; appropriating $106,205 for additional
electrical costs for a total additional appropriation and reappropriation
of $106,205 as follows:
(1) Increase Code 312, Activity 5112, from $1,500 to $2,000;
(2) Increase Code 312, Activity 5121, from $41,000 to $75,197;
(3) Increase Code 312, Activity 5122, from $125,000 to $188,508; and
(4) Increase Code 312, Activity 5131, from $22,500 to $30,500.
SECTION 2. Amendment of the City Budget to accomplish the
purposes of this ordinance is necessitated for emergency expenditures in
grave public necessity to meet unusual and unforeseen conditions, which
could not, by reasonable diligent thought and attention of the Government
of the City of Corpus Christi, have been included in the current, original
Budget of the City.
SECTION 3. The necessity to amend the Budget as hereinabove
set forth creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity
requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution
shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such
ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City
Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist,
and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this

ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY TO ORDAINED, this the day of May,

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance,
a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the
Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed
finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution
shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I. therefore, request
that you suspend said Charter rule or. requirement and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of.the City
Council.
