HomeMy WebLinkAbout13836 ORD - 07/13/1977jkh:7- 13 -77; lst AN ORDINANCE WENDING ORDINANCE NO. 8127, AS AMENDED, BY AVENDING SECTION 1, SUBSECTION (e), SO AS TO PROVIDE THE NEW POSITION TITLE AND GRADE OF CONVENTION CENTER MANAGER; PROVIDING A SEVERANCE CLAUSE; PROVIDING AKi EFFECTIVE DATE; AND DECLARIfG AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 8127, as amended, be and the same is hereby amended by adding to the Administrative, Executive, Professional and "Laborers classification the following position: CLASS CODE CLASS TITLE CLASS GRADE 090 Convention Center Manager 37 SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent Jurisdiction it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section; paragraphs subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 3. The above change shall become effective upon passage of this ordinance. SECTION 4. The necessity to maintain at all times an efficient administration of City affairs creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction.but.that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings.of -the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergence and necessity to exist, having requested the.suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction 13836 and take effect and be in full force and effect from an after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the ul_ /3 day of 1977.
