AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY BY WARRANTY
DEED TO MRS. BELIA NAVA GUTIERREZ A TRACT OF LAND
DESCRIBED AS LOT 15, BLOCK 6, VILLA GARDENS, IN THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, UPON
PAYMENT OF $2,550 CASH CONSIDERATION FOR SAID PARCEL,
A SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF INSTRUMENT CONVEYING THE SAME
BEING ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED
EXHIBIT "A ";AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to convey to
Mrs. Belia Nava Gutierrez a tract of land described as Lot 15, Block 6,
Villa Gardens, in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, upon
the payment of the cash consideration of $2,550 for said parcel of land,
a substantial copy of deed of conveyance being attached hereto and made a
part hereof, marked .Exhibit "A ".
SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately authorize the execution
of a deed in order to facilitate the sale of the above described parcel
of land creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity
requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution
shall be passed finally on the date of.its introduction but that such
ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City
Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to
exist, and having requested the suspension of-the Charter rule and that
this ordinance be passed.finally on the date of its introduction and take
effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS
ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the e _day of 1977.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF NUECES 1.
That the City of Corpus Christi, hereinafter called Grantor,
for and in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Fifty and
no /100 Dollars ($2,550.00) to Grantor in hand paid by Mrs. Belia Nava
Gutierrez, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and for which no
lien is retained, either expressed or implied, has this day sold, and by
these presents does GRANT, BARGAIN, SELL and CONVEY unto the said Mrs. Belia
Nava Gutierrez, all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being
situated in the County of Nueces, State of Texas, more particularly described
as follows, to -wit:
Lot 15, Block 6, Villa Gardens, in the City of
Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, also known
as 510 Villa Drive.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises herein conveyed,
together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in
anywise belonging-to the said Mrs. Belia Nava Gutierrez, her heirs and
assigns, forever, and Grantor does hereby bind itself, its successors and
assigns, to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises
herein conveyed against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to
claim the same or any part thereof, by, through, or under Grantor.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance,
a public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the
Charter rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed
finally on the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution
shall be read at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, request
that you suspend said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance
finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City
Council.
