AMENDING SUBSECTION 510 OF ORDINANCE NO. 8127, THE''COMPEN- `
SATION AND CLASSIFICATION PLAN OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
BY RECLASSIFYING THE POSITION OF CHIEF ACCOUNTANT; PROVIDING
4a A SEVERANCE CLAUSE PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
• TEXAS.
SECTION 1. That Subsection 510 of Ordinance No. 8127, the Compensa-
tion and Classification Plan of the City of Corpus Christi, be and the same
is hereby amended by reclassifying the following position:
Ati4INISTRATIVE, EXECUTIVE, PROFESSIONAL AND LABORERS
;CLASS CODE POSITION TITLE FROM GRADE TO GRADE

SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision;-
clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or '
unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction it
shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,

word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this
City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word,
or provision hereof be given full force and effect for im purpose.
SECTION 3. The above change shall become effective upon passage of
