HomeMy WebLinkAbout14047 ORD - 11/23/1977• 11 -22 -77 • AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1977 -78 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET OF FUND 133, DATA PROCESSING FUND, FOR UNANTICIPATED REVENUE OF $30,600, APPROPRIATING $25,440 FOR THE PURCHASE OF VARIOUS DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT: AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City Council has declared surplus seventeen (17) video display terminals being acquired by a lease- purchase Contract #W92624, dated May 10, 1972, entitled "Agreement for IBM Service "; and WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi advertised for competitive bids and received a bid in the amount of $30,600 for said terminals: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the 1977 -78 Fiscal Year Budget of the Fund 133, Data Processing Fund be amended to increase the Fund's estimated revenues by $30,600 anticipated to be received from the sale of seventeen (17) video display terminals. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of Fund 133, Data Processing Fund, the sum of $25,440, being a portion of the unanticipated additional revenue referred to in Section 1 above, for the purpose of purchasing the presently leased seventeen (17) video display terminals from the IBM Corporation. SECTION 3. That the City Manager be authorized to exercise the purchase option in the present lease contracts for seventeen (17) video display terminals and purchase same from the IBM Corporation. SECTION 4. That the City Manager be authorized to sell and convey to Central Power and Light Company the seventeen (17) video display terminals referred to in Sections 1, 2 and 3 above all in accordance with the bid submitted by Central Power and Light Company for a selling price of $30,600. SECTION 5. That the necessity to immediately authorize the afore- said appropriations, authorizations, and the execution of all related documents thereto creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance MICROFILMED 14047 JUL 0 7 19130 or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its peaeag IT IS ACCORDINGLY 50 ORDAINED, this the ��. day of ��e.I/l/ , 1977.
